Ellen’s Lasagna









1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 Tablespoon pepper
2 Small packages Spaghetti Sauce mix (i.e. Lawry's)
16 oz. tomato sauce
3 cups water
1/4 cup oil
1 large box lasagna noodles
1 1/2 pounds cheddar cheese
1 pound mozzarella cheese

Directions:  Fry ground beef and pork.  Add pepper.  Remove fat.   Add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, water and oil. Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes.  Stir occasionally.

Boil lasagna noodles. Layer the following several times:  Noodles, meat and sauce, cheese. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.  

Cathy's modifications:  Use 3 Tablespoons pepper. Use 1 1/2 pounds mozzarella cheese and 1 pound cheddar cheese.
